GREATEST HITS
Blend and The Atlantic present The Moth
If you’ve seen (or heard) The Moth, you know the magic of live storytelling. When Blend had the opportunity to present 10 minutes of any content we wanted at The Atlantic's "Inclusion in Tech" summit, I knew we had to tell our story. Check out the video to hear stories about being a parent in tech from two Blend employees, as well as great insight from our Head of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. (Video here).
Meraki Summer Camp
If you’ve seen the movie City Slickers, you have a good visual. I planned a trip for our 100-person Dev team to a Dude Ranch in Wyoming. The price of chartering a private jet and making custom-engraved flasks was well worth photos of our Firmware Cattle Drive.
Recruiting Weekends
In closing university candidates, we’re selling both Meraki and SF culture. With this in mind, I put together full weekends for college seniors to get to know both. Day 1: Tour of SF via cable car, bowling competition with Merakians, general mischief. Day 2: Tour of HQ, technical interviews, and presents (branded hoodie and backpack). Merakians love getting to know candidates, and candidates love getting to know their potential co-workers and hometown.
Ferris Wheel Confessions
At Audyssey, I partnered with Noise Pop to create a unique experience for Treasure Island Music Festival attendees. Hired camera crew and reporter to interview folks on their relationship with music (amongst other things), all while sitting inside of the iconic, neon TIMF Ferris Wheel. (Video here).
